Important Note Lunar New Year
January 27th to 31st
The Year of the Dragon concludes soon, and we eagerly await the Year of the Snake, symbolising wisdom and transformation. In Vietnam, Tet is a time for family gatherings and celebrating traditions.
- This year, the Lunar New Year will be observed from January 27th to 31st, with a national holiday in Vietnam.
- EXO Vietnam offices will be fully closed only on Wednesday, January 29th, the first day of the New Lunar Year.
A stand-by team will be available on other days, though response times might be slightly delayed. Also please note that some restaurants, museums and tourist sites may be closed during Tet, and certain activities might be unavailable due to closures. Destination & Flight News
- Ho Chi Minh City’s Metro Line No. 1 officially launched operations, marking a milestone 12 years in the making. The line is 19.7 kilometers long, including 11 elevated stations and 0.3 underground ones. The route traverses some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including Ben Thanh market, the Opera House and Landmark 81 tower. Although more useful for residents, the line cannot replace most current itineraries in the city.
- Vietnam waives visas for citizens from three more European countries – From March 1 to December 31, 2025, citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland will be granted visa-exempt entry to Vietnam for tourism purposes. This temporary exemption, part of the 2025 Tourism Stimulus Program, allows for stays of up to 45 days. More info on Vietnam visas here in this link.
- Vietnam Airlines launches a new route with daily flights between Hanoi and Taipei (TPE), Taiwan, operating in both directions. They also resume service on the popular Danang-Bangkok route starting in March this year. These new and resumed routes offer travelers increased connectivity between Asian countries.
- Newly launched: SJourney Train. Our team inspected The SJourney train and we will not be selling this new product until we monitor operations over the next few months to agents. The operator does not have experience in luxury hospitality, therefore the high price point at this stage is not justified and we will not promote it until the service is stable.
