Destination News

Zannier Bai San Ho Important Notice – Temporary Maintenance Closure – Nov mid-March ‘26: Following the impact of Typhoon Kalmaegi on 6th November, the resort sustained extensive damage to its buildings and natural surroundings. Restoration work is currently underway, and the property will remain temporarily closed to undertake necessary repairs, estimated to reopen from February to mid-March 2026.  All agents with bookings during this period have been actioned. We will continue to update with developments.

Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport. Update Description – Due to an ongoing project at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport – Terminal 2 (T2)  (predicted completion April ‘26) there are potential issues with confusion between lobbies A1 and A2 and the exit gates, after the custom clearance check making it potentially difficult for guides to meet arriving guests. We’ve updated our arrival description information to include the mention of the specific pillar number, for clarity.

EXO Travel Vietnam Discontinues Ba Na Hills “Golden Hand Bridge” Experience – EXO Travel Vietnam has put a final stop sell on the Ba Na Hills due to sustainability concerns and the impact of over tourism as well as the ongoing expansion threats to the habitat of the critically endangered Red-shanked Douc monkey. The decision to remove Ba Na Hills from our offerings reflects our commitment to preserving the environment and providing meaningful travel experiences. Effective 1st January, 2026, this change will apply to all new bookings.

Con Dao National Park Joins the IUCN Green List! Con Dao National Park has been officially recognised by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) on the Green List for 2025-2030. This prestigious recognition highlights the park’s effective and sustainable management, making it the 101st national park globally and Vietnam’s third spot on the list, alongside Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve and Cat Tien National Park. With this title, Vietnam now has the highest number of IUCN Green List protected areas in Southeast Asia.

The Au Co’s 3-day/2-night package that includes the shore excursion on Cat Ba Island (8.30am to 12.30pm) on Day 2, may occasionally be operated by a smaller ‘day’ boat instead of the main vessel due to low occupancy, particularly in the low season months. We cannot guarantee in advance as this is subject to the cruise company’s decision, however we expect this change will happen infrequently.

The change for the occasions where the day boat will be operated:

  • Guests will disembark from the main vessel (Au Co) onto the ‘day boat’ which features comfortable seating (i.e. no cabins) for the morning’s shore excursion (8.30am-12.30pm).
  • Clients unable to join due to mobility issues will be comfortably accommodated onboard with complimentary services (snacks & drinks).
