The EXO Foundation is happy to announce the launch of the third edition of our EXO Cares booklet, now called TIPS for Responsible Travels. The updated versions are online now and can be found on both the EXO Foundation and EXO Travel websites. The booklet is viewable in English, French and Spanish.

– The introduction gathers a range of cultural tips explaining specific aspects of Asian etiquette and culture as well as advice on ethical behaviour to ensure travellers have rewarding cultural exchanges.
– The second section addresses environmental best practices in order to minimise our footprint and contribute to the conservation of Asia’s rich biodiversity.
– Last but not least, it provides guidelines on how travel can significantly benefit local communities and contribute to the alleviation of poverty.

Since 2012, the booklet was distributed to most travellers across all EXO destinations, with the exceptions of Japan & China (as most Southeast Asian cultural recommendations do not apply there).
The booklet may also be customised with travel agents’ logos for large quantity print orders (above 500).

As stated in the EXO Responsible Travel Policy, raising awareness of these issues is a key aspect of our commitment to responsible tourism over the past few years.

Following the TRAVELIFE certification of EXO Cambodia and EXO Vietnam in 2015, EXO Travel is pursuing the extension of the certification to more of our destinations, in an effort to improve the social, economic and environmental impacts of travel.
