- Hoi An’s Iconic Bridge Reopens After Year-Long Restoration:
Visitors can once again cross the famed Japanese Covered Bridge, or Chua Cau as it’s known locally, after being under renovation for more than a year. The beloved landmark, a quintessential symbol of Hoi An, reopened its doors to visitors in early August..
- Important! Upcoming Public Holidays:
From 3-4 September, Vietnam celebrates National Day and the 70th anniversary of French withdrawal of occupying forces. EXO Vietnam’s offices will be closed on both Monday 3 September and Tuesday 4 September. We will have a stand by operation teams in place to handle urgent matters for on-the-ground guests however please expect delays on new quotes during this period.
- EXO Foundation Continues Supporting Reforestation Efforts Across Vietnam:
EXO Foundation in partnership with Gaia Environmental Conservation Organization, re-invested in reforestation initiatives to enhance biodiversity and empower local communities. The 2018 project in Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve, where 500 trees were planted, has yielded an impressive 86% survival rate and significant growth. Building on this success, we supported Gaia’s efforts to plant 1,165 trees in Xuan Lien Nature Reserve in 2024. We’ve also pledged funding to establish 1,121 new trees in Phong Dien Nature Reserve, a globally recognized ecological region. By restoring degraded forest areas with native tree species and providing ongoing maintenance, we’re working to protect Vietnam’s natural heritage for future generations.
- Long Thanh Airport to welcome first commercial flights in 2026:
The terminal’s first phase of construction is expected to be completed by 2025, with commercial flights to start in 2026. Spanning 5,000 hectares, the airport is slated to be Vietnam’s largest upon completion and is projected to handle 100 million passengers once all three phases are finished. Located 40 km east of Ho Chi Minh City, Long Than is being built to meet the growing demand for travel to and around Vietnam.
