Today’s tour begins at 17:00. Settle into a coffee shop at Long Bien Station with a cup of your favorite brew, and watch the trains roll by.

Then head to Long Bien Bridge – a great spot to watch the whole city light up and see the locals coming home after work. A short walk on the bridge provides ideal moments to catch the sunset and witness local farming on Banana Island, nestled at the base of Long Bien Bridge. This island is a rustic community where residents depend on agriculture and farming for their livelihoods.

The exploration continues with a walk through the old quarter along Phung Hung street which runs parallel to the railway track. This area offers the opportunity to delve into its historical significance, particularly during wartime. Originally constructed during the 1880s under French time, these tracks continue to serve as an integral aspect of daily life in Hanoi.

A section of the railway cuts through a narrow residential area, where locals have converted their homes into cafes. Depending on the current regulations, the train can be viewed from an upstairs cafe or with limited access to the train track, viewing is available from outside.

From here it’s a short stroll through the lively Old Quarter to savor Cha Ca (grilled turmeric fish) - an iconic dish that embodies Hanoi’s culinary heritage. For vegetarians, another option at a local vegan restaurant will be sampled.

Then savor a dessert in true Hanoi style with one of following options:

 Sweet Vietnamese dessert soup (Chè) made with beans, jelly, fruit, and coconut milk

 A refreshing mix of seasonal fresh fruits topped with condensed milk and crushed ice.

 Chewy yogurt cubes served cold, often flavored and topped with fruit or syrup for a cool, tangy treat.

Finish up the evening by a leisurely stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, offering a glimpse into the daily rhythm of Hanoians in the evening. Hoan Kiem Lake, meaning "Lake of the Returned Sword," blends serene beauty with a captivating legend of a magical sword and a golden turtle, embodying Hanoi's history and charm.

Option:

Finish up the evening by escaping the hustle and bustle of the city at a local bar. Here, indulge in a crafted cocktail soaking up the atmosphere (rate not included)
