Destination updates
- New Visa-Free Arrival for some European countries – For those who are not aware yet, travellers from eight European countries can enjoy visa-free entry to Laos from July – Dec 2024. Passport holders from Austria, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Greece do not need to apply for a Visa on Arrival in Laos and will be granted to stay up to 15 days. - New overnight train from Bangkok to Vientiane: A new train route connecting Bangkok and Vientiane launched a trial run on 19 July 2024. As it’s still in its early stages, we want to ensure we have the most accurate details (including border immigration procedures) before including it in our services. However, here’s what we know so far:
Route: Bangkok (Krung Thep Aphiwat train station) – Udon Thani – Nong Khai – Vientiane (Khamsavath train station)
Departure: 21: 25 Arrival: 09:05 (+1), 11 hours 40 mins
Ticket Class : 3 Class types (upper and lower beds available)
