EXO Japan’s Regional Product Development Executive, Kaori Ikeda, recently set off on an adventure near her hometown to develop the incredible Hokkaido Winter Wildlife Tour. With exotic wildlife, ice floes, volcanic calderas, onsens and more to explore, this journey through Japan’s stunning winter paradise is breathtaking at every turn.

The adventure kicks off with a visit to the Tsurui Ito sanctuary to see remarkable red-crowned cranes, then continues to Lake Kussharo, a caldera where lava-heated water attracts flocks of swans. Next up is a bucket-list worthy walk on the ice floes of Shiretoko Peninsula, a bird-watching cruise through the icebergs and a wildlife spotting trip through the isolated Notsuke Peninsula animal preserve.
