As the calendar turns its final page, we reflect on another year of sharing the magic of Japan with travellers from around the world. The holiday season is a time for celebration, and this year it holds extra significance as we look ahead to a major milestone: 2026 marks the 15th Anniversary of EXO Travel Japan!
To celebrate our journey and set the stage for the coming year, our team gathered for a traditional Bonenkai (end-of-year celebration) in Okinawa, where our staff enjoyed a delicious dinner and took part in team building activities to strengthen our bond as a cohesive unit working together to deliver excellence.
The coming year is set to be a crucial period for the Japanese tourism industry. Several significant changes were already announced, from new city taxes and increased regulations to fees targeting high-traffic areas, all in an effort to manage overcrowding.
Our strategy is clear: the key to an exceptional client experience in this evolving landscape is the exploration of Japan off the Golden Route.
We will continue to focus on developing and delivering unforgettable experiences in a wider variety of regional locations in Japan, where clients can truly immerse themselves in local culture, meet inspiring people and find authentic beauty away from the congestion of the major hubs. This approach not only enhances the traveller’s journey but also supports the economic vitality of rural communities.
