August in Japan is a time of both quiet reflection and vibrant activity. For many, it marks the time of Obon, a cherished holiday when families reunite and honour their ancestors. At EXO, this month has also been a period of professional development, ensuring we are always ready to share the best of Japan with the world.
We were recently honoured to welcome our CEO Hamish Keith, to the EXO Japan office. To celebrate his visit and the summer season, we came together for a lively “office matsuri” complete with festive food and a cheerful atmosphere. It was a fantastic way to connect as a team and share a taste of Japanese summer traditions with our leadership.
Most recently, our commitment to excellence has been on full display through our annual guide training program. We have just completed comprehensive sessions in Tokyo and Kyoto and are looking forward to additional seminars with guides in Kanazawa Hiroshima. These training sessions are an essential component of our commitment to customer satisfaction and overall excellence.
Our guides are a vital link between destinations and travellers, and these sessions provide them with the skills, knowledge and tools they need to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. We are proud to constantly improve our roster of guides and help them continue to grow as ambassadors of Japanese culture.
