30 years ago today we embarked on a journey to redefine boundaries by connecting travellers with the soul of Asia.
It all started with an opportunity to set up the first foreign-owned and licensed destination management company (DMC) in Vietnam.
Through our passion for the country’s hidden highlights, wonderful people and charismatic culture, we knew there was a real chance to transform travel there for the better. We wanted to not only expand people’s horizons through our focus on the real and authentic, but to also meaningfully give back to local communities, help protect the environment, and preserve its magic for future generations.
This desire to share and protect the magic of our destinations has been central to our vision as a company since our inception and has allowed us to weather great storms and ride unbelievable waves of success over the years.
Having expanded this vision to 10 incredible destinations throughout Asia, we’ve built an unbelievable family of friends, colleagues and partners along the way.
Through the passion and commitment of this family of travel experts, both within EXO and among those who work with us, we have never been more thrilled for the future or confident in the value of travel than we are now.
Just as we did on this fateful day 30 years ago, we see the glow of opportunity shining bright on the horizon, not just for our destinations but for tourism overall.
To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we will be redoubling our commitment to redefine boundaries through travel, to use it as a force for good in the world, and to share the magic of our destinations.
