Canvas & Orchids

Koh Hong

A unique eco-lodge located on the Tatai River in Cambodia, at the edge of the Cardamom Mountains. It offers a luxurious “glamping” experience with both floating and on-land tented villas, designed with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and local community engagement. Guests can immerse themselves in nature, enjoying activities like kayaking, trekking to waterfalls and wildlife spotting, all while experiencing high-quality service and Cambodian-Western fusion cuisine.

The only hotel in the Cardamom Mountains that offers a truly unique and refreshing experience with its floating tents. The lack of connectivity provides a complete escape from the outside world, allowing for total disconnection. An early morning kayak through the mist, set against the backdrop of the Cardamom Mountains, makes for a quietly unforgettable experience.— Learn more.

Team insight

Team insights: At the end of May, a site inspection was carried out in the northeastern region of the country. Several nights were spent in Siem Pang where a beautiful conservation project is underway. Further details will be shared in the coming months! On the way back, the team visited Koh Trong and its community. It was a wonderful homestay on the pomelo island.

Flights between Thailand & Cambodia are unaffected by Land Border Closures : We would like to provide some clarity following recent news about a dispute between Thailand and Cambodia. A political disagreement between the two countries has led to the temporary closure of land borders. However, all flights and airports between Thailand and Cambodia remain open, and flights continue to operate as normal.

Webinar : Watch a short webinar that offers insights to better understand the benefits of visiting Cambodia during the green season (June-September).

Reminder, Eliminating single-use plastic bottles:

Plastic water bottles are no longer provided to guests on tour. Guides will remind travellers to bring reusable bottles and point them to convenient refill stations throughout their journey. With Cambodia’s well-established infrastructure providing easy access to clean drinking water,  sustainability can be prioritised without impacting guests’ comfort. Please ensure this message is communicated clearly, so guests are well-prepared for their travels.
