EXO Cambodia Team
2025 Sustainability highlights:
Reduction of plastic consumption:
Introduced new monk blessing packaging, partnered with the social enterprise Trash is Nice to repurpose plastic waste, onboarded a new water supplier to provide glass bottles for guests and implemented an updated approach to picnic lunch box packaging.
Supporting the community:
Both offices collected materials, school supplies and clothing for the annual donation drive. The teams also regularly organise blood donation initiatives, with strong participation from guides and drivers. In collaboration with the EXO Foundation, a water filter station is being implemented at Trapeang Thmar Primary School in rural Siem Reap province, alongside ongoing support for two elephants in remote area of Mondulkiri.
Educational Training: Educational training initiatives were delivered in partnership with local suppliers. This year, a collaboration with Angkor Wildlife and Aquarium (AWA) raised awareness of plastic waste among 70 students and strengthened understanding of Tonle Sap Lake’s biodiversity.
Christmas Tuktuk parade: The most recent initiative was a community-led festive event celebrating creativity, togetherness and holiday spirit in the heart of Siem Reap. Now in its second year, the parade brings together local businesses, schools, NGOs, artists and families for an evening of colour, music and entertainment, while raising funds for a meaningful local cause. All profits are donated to Safe Haven.
