Cambodia Product & Destination Update

Catch up on the latest news from EXO Cambodia!

Chum Reap Suor,

February was a busy month. A visit from Maeve, our Vietnam Director of Product, helped align priorities across our Indochina hub. A small update to this newsletter follows that work: each edition will now spotlight new Travel for Good products as well as the people behind them.

Beyond ‘Travel for Good’ we’re excited to share new ways to discover Tonle Sap—perfect for guests seeking intimate, premium experiences.

A note on sustainability: please help us reduce plastic. We’ve noticed a rise in guests buying plastic bottles despite our glass-bottle service. Your support matters!

Happy reading!

Get Inspired - New Experiences

This month, we introduce new, more intimate and premium ways to experience the Tonle Sap, Southeast Asia’s largest lake, typically explored from Kampong Phluk and Kampong Khleang.

Day Cruise from Kampong Phluck to Chong Kneas

Full Day

In a full-day private charter, embark across Tonle Sap, cruising from the towering stilted houses of Kampong Phluk to the floating neighbourhoods of Chong Kneas. Perfect for those who value privacy, this itinerary swaps the standard tourist path for a tailored, chef-led culinary experience across the lake.

Why we like it: The rare opportunity to spend a full day on the water, uncovering the lake’s hidden gems and having a gourmet meal prepared by a private chef.

Best suited for: Couples and those looking to celebrate a special occasion in an unforgettable setting.

Champagne Sunset Private Floating Village Cruise

Half Day

On a private cruise, venture into the heart of Chong Kneas floating village, gaining a closer look at daily life on Tonle Sap Lake. As fishermen return home from a day’s work and the rhythm of the village begins to slow, watch the sunset across the water with chilled champagne and canapés.

Why we like it: The ultimate way to watch the sun go down over the water! Enjoy stunning lake views with a glass of champagne.

Best suited for: Perfect for couples or a group of friends who want to share a special, high-end moment.

Featured Properties

Anjali by Syphon

Siem Reap

Eco-chic boutique hotel in Siem Reap, set in a green garden landscape. Its recent expansion, the Santi Wing, continues the “meditative modernist” architecture, offering new rooms designed with tropical minimalism and warm Khmer textures.

Why we like it: The Santi Wing rooms are a significant step up, offering a more refined, tech-savvy stay. The design prioritises comfort, pairs it with locally made furniture and incorporates more sustainability-minded features throughout.

Ideal client type: Perfect for design-conscious guests and couples seeking a “quiet luxury” escape. It is ideal for those who want to be located near the Angkor temples (only 10–15 minutes away) but prefer a tranquil, green oasis over the high-traffic bustle of the city centre.

FCC Angkor by Avani

Siem Reap

The FCC Angkor by Avani is a Siem Reap icon. While the historic mansion retains its character, the new wing opposite introduces direct pool-access rooms, bringing a more contemporary resort feel to this heritage address.

Why we like it: The renovation adds genuinely practical value through the new room category, backed by a clear sustainability focus recognised through Green Globe certification.

Ideal client type: This is the perfect spot for guests who want to be in the heart of Siem Reap.

EXO team updates

We had such an active month! Our sustainability team came up with a new challenge: in the Phnom Penh office, we received insightful knowledge sharing from Vichet, who taught us how to maintain and make our office greener. In the Siem Reap office, Panhary came up with a new plan to revamp our garden to grow fresh veggies and herbs for our lunches.

We also had a lovely surprise from the men in our office for Valentine’s Day and to conclude, we had the pleasure of welcoming Maeve, Director Product EXO Vietnam. It was such productive meetings to align the strategy for our Indochina Hub!
