Myanmar is a country that lends itself well to epics. Snaking down from the mighty Himalayas in the north all the way to the glittering Andaman Ocean in the south, it is a country of deep contrasts and beauty. It is hardly surprising that it takes some time and effort to really get to grips with the sheer scope of the nation. Fortunately, for fearless visitors, this adventure deploys over a longer length in order to really get under the skin of the country. Over the course of nearly a month, guests will set out from the colourful commercial hub, Yangon, to hit some of the country’s most famous spots, including Inle Lake and the temple complex at Bagan. With the additional time afforded by the trip, a number of lesser-known gems can also be explored. These include the hill towns of Pyin Oo Lwin and Hsipaw, sleepy Mawlamyaing and Hpa An, the scenic capital of Kayin State.
