Malaysia, Borneo: Peak season bookings

As we look ahead to Malaysia’s high season 2025, we want to remind you to book early. Due to an unprecedented surge in demand, many of our preferred properties are already fully booked for the June-September period, with alternative accommodations also filling up quickly.

This is especially true in remote areas, where jungle lodges are in limited supply.

To avoid disappointment, we recommend securing bookings as soon as possible or, if feasible, considering travel dates in March-May or October-November when the peak season demands have eased.

Malaysia Hotels refurbishment/maintenance:

  • Mandarin Oriental Hotel: MO Club Lounge will undergo an upgrade from 18 November 2024 to 23 February 2025. During this period, MO Club Lounge services will be relocated to our Royal Suite on the 29th floor.
  • Perhentian Island Resort: The resort is announcing a renovation work for all rooms categories expected to be completed by 31 March 2025
  • Mulu National Park: Headhunter trails closure: The Camp 5 will be closed to booking from 15 Dec 24 to 31 Jan 25 due to weather conditions.
  • Rosa Melaka Hotel: The Hotel is informing on the renovation of a new building wing, scheduled after the Chinese New Year 2025, with estimation completion by 2026, final date will be advised soon.

Singapore Hotel refurbishment/maintenance:

  • The Scarlet Hotel: Due to an extended renovation period, the breakfast will not be available in November. Any new booking for the month of November will be confirmed as room only.
  • Oasia Novena, Oasia Downtown, Amoy Hotel, The Clan Hotel: Commencing 1 January 2025, guest check in time will be set at 15h (3pm).
