For 15 years, EXO Foundation has worked alongside grassroots organisations to help make destinations better places for people to live and travellers to visit.
As the non-profit arm of EXO Travel, the Foundation supports community and environmental initiatives across Asia and North Africa, while encouraging more responsible practices throughout the travel industry.
Throughout the rest of 2026, EXO Foundation will mark its 15th anniversary with a series of activities culminating in Foundation Week (7–11 December), a company-wide celebration featuring the EXO Foundation Sustainability Awards, the launch of an anniversary impact video, community workshops, project visits and activities across EXO offices.
Reaching this milestone is an exciting opportunity to celebrate the people, partnerships and projects that have shaped its journey over the past 15 years. At the heart of the anniversary campaign is the $15K Fundraising Challenge, bringing the wider EXO community together to raise USD $15,000 for community and environmental initiatives across our destinations. $15k Fundraising Challenge
The $15K Fundraising Challenge invites EXO teams, partners and friends to find creative ways to contribute to the shared target. Whether through events, games, sales, fundraising activities or partner support, every contribution counts. Rather than relying on personal donations alone, we’re encouraging people to come together, share the Foundation’s work and find engaging ways to raise support.
From an office bake sale or friendly competition to a sponsored activity or partner-led fundraiser, every initiative can help move us closer to the goal.
One hundred percent of the funds raised will go directly toward helping EXO Foundation support grassroots organisations and practical initiatives that create measurable benefits across our destinations.
From contribution to impact
EXO Foundation supports initiatives across many areas of sustainability. Recent projects have tackled plastic pollution through community refill stations, marine education and clean-ups, replacing tens of thousands of single-use bottles with reusable and returnable alternatives. Other support has strengthened local enterprises through training, equipment and more sustainable production methods, helping community partners and tourism businesses build lasting resilience.
Further initiatives focus on wildlife conservation and responsible tourism, from supporting elephant care and community-based livelihoods in Thailand, to protecting endangered gibbons and their forest habitat in Cambodia. Together, these projects show how contributions translate into practical action for communities, environments and the future of tourism.
