Important Malaysia destination updates:
- The Malaysian Government had suddenly announced the removal of diesel subsidies last month with immediate effect. While the measure aims at improving the country’s fiscal health, this change has led to a significant increase in diesel prices, from RM2.15 to RM3.35 per litre, effectively raising more than 50%. Vehicle suppliers and transport companies across Malaysia have raised prices up to 20% in response. EXO Malaysia worked together with both long term key suppliers and our in-house fleets to maintain rates for existing bookings. Limited increases may be phased in the future for new enquiries. Please reach out to our team ([email protected]) if you have any questions.
- Perak Local Service Charge; Visitors staying in Perak state will be charged a local service fee of RM3 (appx 0.60 USD) per night effective Jan 1, 2025.
