Kicking off in vibrant Bangkok and concluding in Siem Reap – the gateway to the temples of Angkor – this ride includes some of the very best scenery Thailand and Cambodia have to offer. The Thai leg of the cycling adventure stays close to the coast in idyllic provinces such as Chantaburi. The route turns inland towards the frontier with Cambodia before crossing the border near the town of Pailin, notable for its history as a stronghold of the Khmer Rouge and also for its temples and natural beauty. The next stop on the route is the city of Battambang, which luxuriates in some of Cambodia’s most tranquil rural scenery and harbours a vibrant art scene of its own. After cycling through more peaceful landscapes, guests conclude their journey at Siem Reap where the relics of the Khmer empire provide a fitting conclusion to the epic ride.
