Climbing Mighty Mount Kinabalu (3 Days/ 2 Nights)

Towering majestically over Kota Kinabalu, the state capital of Sabah, Mount Kinabalu has a formidable reputation. Shrouded in myth and mystery, the highest peak in Southeast Asia dominates the skyline for miles around and acts as a magnet for pilgrims eager to test themselves against its lofty bulk. For active honeymooners, scaling the mountain is a rite of passage.  Tremendous vistas and stunning scenery are among the rewards for climbers’ efforts.  Although the path up the mountain is well travelled, the ascent remains a worthy challenge. On the first day, guests climb steadily but surely through the forests before overnighting at the rest house of Laban Rata. The final push to the summit the following day begins in the wee small hours. With darkness all around, it is perhaps the toughest part of the trek, but the sunrise views from the summit offer ample recompense.
