Now we all know Cambodia is famous for its temple ruins. That’s one of the reasons why people go there. But what if you can experience a temple-touring trip that is different from others? What if you can actually sleep amongst the temples? With Exotissimo’s Wat Roun Circle tour, you can do just that.

Exotissimo is always looking to bring Southeast Asia to its customers in a unique way. This tour certainly fits the bill. You will spend the night within the grounds of Wat Roun as you wake up to nature’s soothing morning sounds and atmosphere.

Now before you get to your tents at Wat Roun, you will visit some pretty cool temples. First in the list is Baneat Srey, one of the most distinctive and unique temples. Nowhere else in Angkor will you see a temple made of pink limestone. You will also go back further in time as you visit Kbal Spean, one of the earliest Hindu pilgrimage sites.

Next up is a short trek uphill. No worries, the walk is comfortable and quite easy. And the reward? A chance to cool off in one of the hill’s refreshing waterfalls.

You will then find your home for the evening as you approach Wat Roun. It is set within a traditional village and offers tranquil rice paddies as background. Pretty neat, huh? But wait, there’s more! The tents were set-up with comfort in mind. Inside are comfortable beds, fans and cushions. If you don’t believe it, check out the picture and see for yourself! The rest of the day is up to you to spend at leisure. We recommend snacks and drinks atop Phnom Bok Hill. It is very peasant up there and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Then, cuddle up to the comfy environs of your tent.

Your last day on this tour includes a visit to Beng Mealea, a site worthy for any Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones film. The jungle has happily engulfed the temple and claimed it as one of its own. The authorities have purposely kept it this way too, leaving it the way it was when explorers discovered the temple years ago.

Is it a lake or a river? You decide for yourself with a cruise along the Tonle Sap. Some call it a river others call it Tonle Sap Lake. There’s a reason to it as the water swells to over four times its size during the rainy season, making it a lake. When it stops raining, it shrinks. The Tonle Sap does have a life of its own.

Exotissimo prides in brining the beauty of Cambodia and Southeast Asia to you. Our Cambodia tours listings includes experiences to the country’s main historical and cultural sites as well as excursions to the less-visited spots, all designed to give you a complete and enriching Khmer experience. You can also customize your own tour too! How? By telling us where you would like to go and what you love doing when traveling in our tailor-made page. We will then collaborate with you to build the perfect holiday experience.
