Another important temple site is Wat Chiang Mun, the city’s oldest temple built in 1297. This temple houses two important and venerated Buddha figures, the marble Phra Sila (alleged to have rain giving powers) and the crystal Phra Satang Man (alleged to protect people and cities from disasters).
