New Tour Indonesia: Kalimantan Orangutans (5 Days / 4 Nights)

Few places in Asia are as evocative as Borneo. The third largest island on the planet, the huge landmass is divided between Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. Kalimantan, Indonesia’s portion of the island, is perhaps the least explored part of Borneo by tourists, making it even more intriguing for outsiders.

A place of wide, deep rivers, untamed jungle and an abundance of tropical wildlife, this is very much one of the region’s last frontiers. Notable among Kalimantan’s inhabitants are its orangutans. The lovable primates are particularly prevalent in the Tanjung Patung National Park where tireless conservation efforts have seen the orangutan population reach a sustainable level of 5-6 thousand spread across the 4000km2 of the park.

Guests can get up close and personal with the animals on this unforgettable journey which ventures deep into the heart of the national park and encompasses epic river journeys, longhouse living and warm Borneo hospitality.
