• Bali Art Festival (21 June – 19 July 2025) 

The Bali Arts Festival’s grand opening ceremony is an event not to be missed.  The festivities typically begin with a vibrant parade in front of the Bajra Sandhi monument in Denpasar. Hundreds of artists representing Bali’s eight regencies, neighboring islands, and international troupes showcase their talents and finest works in this spectacular display.

Bali Arts Festival is an annual arts festival that celebrates, preserves and develops Balinese art and culture. Traditional art performances are created as a form of artistic expression and creativity, supporting government initiatives to exchange, preserve and develop Balinese cultural art values. 

• Kesada Festival, Bromo (10 – 11 June 2025)

This annual event is a significant cultural and religious occasion for the Tenggerese people, who honor their deities by offering agricultural produce, livestock and other items into the volcano’s crater as acts of gratitude and to seek blessings. The festival provides a rare opportunity to witness a centuries-old tradition and experience the rich cultural heritage of the Tenggerese community.

• Tenganan Pegringsingan Culture Festival, Karangasem – Bali (21- 23 June 2025)

Perang Pandan, an annual spectacle in Tenganan.

In the well-preserved village of Tenganan, a fascinating coming-of-age ritual called Perang Pandan takes place. This tradition, also known as mekare-kare or megeret pandan, is dedicated to the Hindu god of war and the sky, Indra.  During the ritual, young men engage in friendly combat using rattan shields and bundles of thorny pandan leaves.

The Perang Pandan festival is a feast for the eyes.  The arena is readied, village houses are adorned with decorations and large wooden swings carry girls high into the air.  The central arena becomes a vibrant scene, filled with the cheers of villagers.
