Welcome to the May EXO Indonesia Product update. As we head into high season, we want to keep you informed on all the happenings across our country.

  • Product update: We’ve been updating our products in Tanjung Puting National Park, Central Kalimantan by giving options by choosing a nice and comfortable houseboat with excellent services and meals or an ecolodge. Reminder of Bali’s International Tourist Levy:

Starting 14th February 2024, Bali implemented a tourism tax on foreign tourists who arrive in Bali. THe 150,000 IDR fee (approximately USD 10) must be paid online (www.lovebali.baliprov.go.id) or through the Love Bali application. New regulation on cidomo in Aston Sunset Gili Trawangan:

Aston Sunset Beach Gili Trawangan is no longer able to arrange cidomo (horse carriage) transportation services for pick-up or drop-off to and from their hotel. This decision is based on the preference of the horsemen to receive payment directly from guests before providing transportation services, rather than accepting payment through the hotel.

  • The 10th World Water Forum (WWF) 

The 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in 2024, an international event focusing on global water issues is being held from May 18-25th 2024.

 

  • Bali Jagaditha Culture Week on June 2024

The Bali Jagadhita program, initiated by the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia in the Province of Bali, focuses on empowering and developing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM), promoting tourism, and encouraging investment in Bali. 

 

  • The Tenganan Pegrisingan Culture Festival on 05 – 06 June 2024

The festival is a rare opportunity to witness the village’s unique rituals, crafts and community life that remain unchanged by modern influences. The highlights would be perang pandan (a ritualistic duel), traditional weaving displays and other cultural exhibitions.

 

  • The Tilem ceremony on 06 June 2024

Tilem ceremony is the marking of the new moon and considered a time for purification and renewal. Locals gather in temples across the island to offer prayers, flowers and incense.

 

  • Bali Art Festival on 15 June – 13 July 2024.

It’s the most comprehensive celebration of the island’s artistic achievement. The festival showcased a wide array of Balinese art forms from traditional dance and music to contemporary visual arts.
