Myanmar is such a magical destination. It not being frequented by tourists and visitors has certainly kept the country beautiful and pure. And there is a way to see all of this splendor via the sky. That’s right, you’ll be whisked away on a hot air balloon for some fabulous views of the country. In case you are wondering, you’ll be airborne over the wonderful marvel temple town of Bagan and the lake civilization at Inle. Not bad choices for balloon flights.

Let’s get acquainted with Myanmar by exploring Yangon. This was the capital, up until 2006, but it is still by and large the biggest city in Myanmar. The glowing gold shrine of Shwedagon Pagoda is for you to see here. In addition, you’ll discover Myanmar’s glorious history at the National Museum, visit the golden city center Sule Pagoda and enjoy a walk around Mahabandoola Park to take in the colonial courthouse and city hall.

From here, you’ll jet off the Heho, the gateway to Inle Lake. Relax or take a walk around town before gathering under the Banyan trees for a bonfire dinner. After breakfast, enjoy a stunning sunrise balloon flight over Pindaya with sweeping views of the lush Shan hills and the quaint town. There is more to do here than just sailing above in the skies. Explore caves, caverns, stilted villages, floating gardens, monasteries (and one with jumping cats) and the always intriguing way of how the locals move about in the area, paddling boats with one leg.

Now you’ll jet off to one of the world’s most astonishing sites, the thousands of temples that make up Bagan. This is world history right here. Over 2,200 temples dot the landscape, and just imagine how it was like before where over 13,000 embrace the lands of Bagan centuries ago.

And imagine the views of Bagan as your sweep through the skies! The skilled pilots, using their knowledge and expertise, will steer your across the of the winds over the temple and at higher altitude you will be amazed at the sweeping views and network of ruined structures. Continue to explore the temples on land with a picnic lunch at a quiet temple before setting off on a boat cruise along the Irrawaddy River for yet another perspective of the temples. Conclude your balloon safari experience with a candlelit dinner accompanied by a traditional dance performance.

This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of exploring Burma. See and experience more of this wonderful country via our Myanmar tours.
