The annual Virtuoso Travel Week came to a close on 18 August and, as usual, it was a buzzing, lively affair.
The Las Vegas-based event was jam-packed with meetings, networking sessions, destination showcases and product development symposiums.
Representing EXO at the 2023 Virtuoso Travel Week were Amanda Pilar, Sales Director- North America, and Yen Nguyen, Vietnam Assistant General Manager. They were among the 5,000 attendees representing 2,086 companies and 105 countries.
Over the course of four days, Amanda and Yen had 140 appointments with Virtuoso travel advisors.
These short but insightful meetings gave them the opportunity to share what’s new in EXO and our destinations as well as hear feedback – and praise!- from partners.
‘Virtuoso Travel Week is the networking event of the year with infinite networking opportunities’ Amanda explains. ‘Everyone in luxury travel is in Vegas, so it is a great way to connect with the industry as a whole- not only with advisors and member agencies, but also with partner hotels, tourism boards, and Virtuoso teams.‘
Although she is no stranger to trade shows, it was Yen’s first time at the Virtuoso event. ‘It’s very useful to meet with the US travel advisors in person and to listen to them so that we, within the destination, know how to better match and exceed their expectations.
As well, the agents were excited to meet someone from Vietnam, from Indochina- I was pleased to be the personal face for EXO’s destination-based team,’ Yen remarked.
In between meetings, Virtuoso Travel Week also featured a full menu of symposiums, seminars and training events.
Luxury Travel has seen a robust and
ongoing recovery in 2023.
