Thailand Extends Visa-Free Stay for Tourists

Thailand Extends Visa-Free Stay for Tourists

New policy aims to encourage longer stays

Thailand has officially introduced an expansion of its visa-free initiative.

Under the new regulations, effective 15 July 2024, travellers from visa-free and visa-exempt countries will be able to stay for up to 60 days, doubling the previous 30-day maximum.

This enables tourists to enjoy a longer holiday in Thailand without the need for a visa extension.

The updated regulations also increases the number of nationalities eligible for visa exemption.

Now, passport holders from 93 countries and territories can enter Thailand for tourism without a visa, up from the previous 57 eligible countries. (The full list can be found below)

With so much to explore, from stunning beaches to vibrant cultural sites, this change allows travellers more time to experience the beauty and diversity of Thailand.

EXO Travel welcomes this development, as it offers greater opportunities for travellers to stay longer and immerse themselves in everything Thailand has to offer.
