Explore Myanmar in Style; Let her Stunning Temples, Scenic Lands and Smiling People Win you over

Combining posh traveling with the exotic and unknown (at least to many of Earth’s citizens who’ve never stepped foot in the country), discovery of Myanmar becomes a truly memorable experience.

Combining posh traveling with the exotic and unknown (at least to many of Earth’s citizens who’ve never stepped foot in the country), discovery of Myanmar becomes a truly memorable experience. Blessed with some of the world’s friendliest people, magnificent historical structures and amazing landscapes, Burma (as it is sometimes known) welcomes you with open arms! So head on over to Myanmar and let this amazing country win you over.

Be prepared for a pampering experience in some of the country’s finest hotels. First off, Yangon, the country’s largest city and where faded colonial buildings stand next to glittering temples. Get a crash course on Burmese history at the National Museum where displays of Myanmar from even the Stone Age are present! And you can’t help but be impressed by the massive 70-meter reclining Buddha at Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda. That statue is huge! Later in the day, see the very structure that almost single handedly defines Myanmar, Shwedagon Pagoda. It glows into life in during sunset as the evening colors reflect off of the stupa’s golden exterior.

Ready to be a part of history? Bagan is that historic place. Once home to more than 13,000 temples and pagodas, only about 2,200 remain today. In case you were wondering that only is still a world record. No other city or town comes close. Bagan has a timeless feel about it, with those same temples filling the arid plains and the Irrawaddy River winding its way alongside the town. Explore by foot, then by horse carriage. The latter really is a nice touch to the Bagan experience. See the sun set over the fine scenery before heading out for a memorable dinner and marionette show. You’ll also spend time in Bagan learning about the way of life in the town of temples. You’ll visit a rural school, nearby villages and religiously significant caves, all the while locals welcome you to their lives with wide smiles.

Now let’s see how the locals make a living by the lake. Hop on a plane for the short transfer to Inle Lake. This is the home of the unique leg-rowing fishermen. Embark on a smooth boat trip and explore the area’s stilted villages and unique pagodas.

Also by boat, travel up to the Pa-Oh village of Indien. Meet the locals (some of which sport those long golden neck rings) and climb the nearby stupa filled hills. Be rewarded with awesome bird’s eye views of the surrounding lake below. Your discovery of the hilltribes has just begun. Enjoy lunch in the picturesque village of Se Ma before traveling by canoe through the stilted houses and floating gardens of the Intha people.

Can’t get enough of Burma? Extend this Myanmar Luxury Holiday by combining it with these Burmese day trips, aimed at taking you to the heart of this intriguing country. ‘This is Burma. It is quite unlike any place you know about.’ – Rudyard Kipling.
