From Great Wall to Halong Bay by Train (12 Days/ 11 Nights)

The journey south from Beijing to Hanoi is an endlessly evocative train adventure. Beginning and ending in two of Asia’s most compelling capitals, the route takes in a number of scenic highlights including the Great Wall and Halong Bay, both among the region’s top attractions. The trip begins in Beijing where guests can take in highlights such as the Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City, before checking out a section of the Great Wall. Heading south on high-speed rail, the train stops at Luoyang, the gateway to grottoes showcasing the best of Chinese Buddhist rock art. After stopping to marvel at the landscapes of Guilin, guests will continue to the China/Vietnam border and the Detian waterfalls where jagged mountains highlight the magnificence of the scenery. After transferring to car, the adventure continues to the ocean at Halong Bay where limestone karsts jut vertically from emerald waters.
