What is the Emeraude? It is a replica of an early 20th century steam ship. The boat is quite atmospheric and contains all the charm and character of the colonial era. The ship was founded by a pair of brothers from France who were looking for some luck and fortune in Vietnam. After some business endeavors and escapades (including being captured by pirates), the brothers decided to build the Emeraude as well as other ships to tour Halong Bay. The rest as they say is history.
