- Vietnam extends 12-country visa waiver to 2028: Vietnam has extended its 45-day visa exemption for citizens of 12 key tourism markets—Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the U.K., Russia, Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland), and South Korea, Japan—until March 14, 2028. This policy, effective March 15, 2025, replaces the previous exemption set to expire on that date. Vietnam also offers 3-month tourist visas for all other nationalities. More info here
- Tan Son Nhat (Saigon) International Airport’s new terminal T3: To alleviate congestion at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air will relocate all domestic flights—representing roughly 80% of domestic passenger traffic—to the newly completed terminal T3 starting in May. Other domestic airlines will remain at terminal T1, while terminal T2 will continue to handle all international flights. Terminal T3’s opening is scheduled during the peak travel period of the Reunification Day holiday (April 30-May 4).
- From June 2nd, Emirates will offer a new route to Da Nang, operating four weekly flights from Dubai via Bangkok. This service will notably improve connectivity for travelers originating from major European cities, including Manchester, Milan, and Rome, as well as from various destinations within the United States.
