Recognising their crucial role in shaping each journey, we recently conducted dedicated training sessions for both Borneo and Peninsular Malaysia guides. Led by the Operations team, these sessions reinforced EXO’s guiding standards while equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills.
A Comprehensive Two-Day Programme
The training programme spanned two intensive days, covering a wide array of topics vital to enhancing service quality. From EXO’s core values and responsible tourism practices to safety protocols and operational guidelines, every aspect was designed to strengthen our guides’ expertise.
Specialised sessions led by product and operations teams, along with experts from EXO Head Office, provided deeper insights into guiding standards, health and safety, customer service and guest expectations. To further enhance efficiency, a separate session with the accounts and inbound teams focused on streamlining payment procedures and strengthening communication with inbound operations.
Strong Participation Across Malaysia. The training saw a strong turnout, with nearly 50 guides from Sarawak and Sabah participating in the Borneo sessions, while over 30 attended the Peninsular Malaysia programme. Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident throughout the training, reinforcing the importance of continuous learning and improvement.
Recognising Excellence. The programme concluded on a high note with the presentation of certificates to all attendees. A special awards dinner highlighted the event, where outstanding guides were honored with the prestigious ‘Best Guide of the Year’ awards. These exceptional individuals received plaques, certificates and generous cash prizes in recognition of their dedication and excellence.
