Destination news
EXO team insight
Back from inspection! Our superstar Inbound team spent a full, comprehensive week in Southern Laos that helped them refresh their knowledge and discover new aspects of the destination. They had a wonderful time and are ready to kick off the high season!
New flight between Laos and Cambodia
A new flight schedule will take effect from 15 December 2026. Air Cambodia will operate a direct flights three times per week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) between Vientiane (VTE) and Phnom Penh (KTI):
VTE-KTI: 14:30-16:10 by K6801
KTI-VTE: 11:50-13:30 by K6800
Road conditions
To preserve its historical atmosphere and manage traffic flow, Luang Prabang has restricted vans and tuk-tuks from driving directly along its main heritage street. Alternative parking and drop-off zones have been established along the Mekong River, the Nam Khan River and designated side streets.
These new regulations will not impact tour quality, itineraries or overall guest enjoyment. Travellers should expect a short two- to five-minute walk from the new drop-off locations to reach local landmarks, night markets and restaurants. On-site guides will remind visitors of the policy and suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes during town tours.
Events & seasonality: Our updated public holiday calendar is now finalised and available here.
Sustainability: Proud moment for EXO Laos! Sponsored by the EXO Foundation, our team joined the Run for Children in Luang Prabang to support free healthcare for local children at the Lao Friends Hospital for Children.
