EXO Travel Cambodia’s 25th anniversary brought our team together on Koh Rong Sanloem for a weekend of celebration, reflection and shared achievement.
At EXO, we believe that every milestone deserves to be marked, not only as recognition of the journey so far but as a celebration of what’s possible when dedicated people work together towards a common goal.
This past weekend, our Cambodia team set off from Phnom Penh in the early hours, heading for the pristine shores of Koh Rong Sanloem. The mood was upbeat from the start, a reflection of the camaraderie that comes from years of shared effort and achievement. After a scenic drive and a seaside lunch, we boarded private speedboats bound for our tropical island getaway.
True to EXO’s ethos, our first act upon arrival was to care for our surroundings. Before settling in, the team split into two groups and set about collecting rubbish and plastic from our stretch of beach. This was a small but meaningful gesture towards leaving places better than we found them. Only then did we check in and dive into leisure, with football on the sand, kayaking and swimming in the crystal-clear water.
As evening approached, the ‘Chill Pool Party’ began, bringing everyone together for music, a lively fashion walk and a buffet barbecue on the beach. For many, the evening ended where it began, in the pool under the island sky.
Saturday brought more opportunities for connection and adventure. In small teams, we embarked on a treasure hunt across the island, following hidden clues on winding paths. After returning, a friendly kayaking race and a ball-passing challenge using traditional krama scarves rounded out the morning, blending teamwork with a nod to local culture.
The Gala Dinner, themed ‘White Stylish Island Chic’, was truly unforgettable. Guided by our energetic MCs, the night featured performances from management and our colleagues from Myanmar, plenty of laughter and several rounds of lucky draw. The highlight was a ceremonial lantern release on the beach before our DJ kept the celebrations going well into the early hours.
Looking back over 25 years of EXO Travel Cambodia, there is much to celebrate. We have crafted journeys that connect travelers with Cambodia’s rich history and the warmth of its people, invested in our communities and conservation, and built a team that has stood the test of time.
Coming together on Koh Rong Sanloem was a reminder of our collective strength and what can be achieved when passion and partnership come first. As Cambodia continues to grow, we look forward to many more milestones, each one a chance to celebrate not just the company we have built but the people who make it all possible.
