Keytakeways:
- Mt. Fuji Climbing Season
The Mt. Fuji Season climbing season started on July 1st, and will remain open until September 10th. In addition to the previously announced cap limit and entry fee for the Yoshida Trail (Yamanashi side), the other three trails (Shozuoka side) have introduced a pre registration system. The registration asks climbers to submit plans such as the start time of climbing and whether they have booked a spot in a mountainside hut on the way to the peak. Those who do not register must receive an explanation on the rules on Mt. Fuji. Anyone attempting to climb past 4 p.m. without accommodation will be urged to refrain from setting off, but no entry cap or fee has been implemented.
