Balinese Art and Dinner with Bali’s Greatest Adventurer (Evening)

Balinese Art and Dinner with Bali’s Greatest Adventurer (Evening)

Straddling the equator on an epic course from the Straits of Malacca in the west to Papua in the east, Indonesia is one of the planet’s most thrilling geographical rides.

The country’s myriad cultural and natural wonders are showcased to award-winning effect in the series Ring of Fire, a televisual documentation of explorer Lawrence Blair’s travels in the sprawling nation. Based in Ubud, Bali, Blair is a skilled raconteur and diners can quiz him about his many adventures at a special meal where he will hold court on his travels.

Before dinner, guests can travel the archipelago through an episode of one of Blair’s programmes. Another respected Bali resident is the artist Antonio Blanco whose home has been converted into a museum with an extensive collection of his works. During the day, guests can explore this and also the equally impressive Rudana Museum, to see how inspirational Indonesia can be to artists of every stripe.
