For all bird lovers, get ready for a special trip to one of the largest national parks in Thailand, Kaeng Krachan National Park. The park is renowned as a bird paradise, naturally abundant and serving as a thriving habitat for wildlife, especially a variety of bird species. Over the course of three days, enjoy the adventure of riding up to the summit in a 4WD, where you will be wowed by the breathtaking scenery stretching across the vast park.


Itinerary

📍 Bangkok – Baan Maka Nature Lodge (213 km): 3.20 hrs Bangkok – The Tree Riverside Kaeng Krachan (200 km): 3 hrs

Leave Bangkok in the early morning at 07:00 and drive south for approximately 3.5 hours to Kaeng Krachan National Park, the largest national park in Thailand, covering an area of about 2,915 square kilometers. The park is teeming with wildlife and is renowned as a bird-watching paradise.

After checking into your resort, meet a bird-watching expert who will provide a short briefing before you begin exploring the diverse bird species. Possible sightings include, but are not limited to, Blue Pitta, Green Magpie, Black-backed Kingfisher, and many more.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

An early start today.

At 05:30, drive to Phanern Thung Summit, a famous spot located within Kaeng Krachan National Park. Transfer to a 4WD vehicle to ascend to the summit, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. It is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts seeking scenic vistas and wildlife encounters.

A simple picnic breakfast will be served while enjoying the breathtaking view from Phanern Thung and observing the local birdlife. Species such as Zitting Cisticola, Small Pratincole, Oriental Pratincole, and many others are often spotted in this area.

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue exploring the area’s ornithology at Baan Song Nok (Bo Nok), another popular destination for bird watchers and photography enthusiasts. Home to a wide variety of bird species, this is a must-visit location for those hoping to capture fantastic images of unique avian species in their natural habitat.

Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

📍 Phetchaburi - Bangkok (220 km): 3.20 hrs

At 07:00, enjoy breakfast at the resort.

After breakfast, drive to the wetlands in Phetchaburi province. These wetlands are of great ecological importance, helping to maintain the balance of the ecosystem. They serve as habitats for various aquatic animals, water plants, and numerous bird species. Especially during the winter season, a large number of migratory birds can be found here.

After lunch at a local restaurant, drive back to Bangkok in the late afternoon.

Arrive in Bangkok in the evening.
