What can be said about Laos? Sometimes nothing is the best because, well, words just can’t describe her. This is a classic case in which you have to experience the place to actually believe it. One heed of warning though, prepared to get laid back like you never felt before! The people, place and persona of the place all accumulates into that relaxing feel.

Sabai dee (hello in Laos). Welcome to Luang Prabang. A proud little town that bears the UNESCO title. And keep in mind town. There is no city in Laos. All feel like village countryside. You just have to be there. Anyways, bask in this haven of tree-line boulevards, European colonial architecture and glittering temples and notice one thing about this place, the cleanliness. And while you’re at it, climb up the 300 steps of Mount Phousi for the recap of Luang Prabang. No sweat (no pun intended), you can do it!

Set off from Luang Prabang (don’t worry, we won’t leave this town too far behind) and see what’s out there! First we got Pak Ou Caves. Look at all those Budhha statues. There must be thousands of them. Who put them there. Why? Ah, the mystery. You just have to be here. Next up is nature at its finest; Kuang Si Falls. Yes, we know what you’re thinking, go on ahead and jump in. Or trek the area if that is your cup of tea. This all builds up nicely to your final Luang Prabang outskirt destination, Kamu Lodge. It is a safari style accommodation where you’ll practically be one of the villagers as you participate in outdoor activities with them. It is all aimed at fun, learning and opportunities for you and them to learn from each other.

Transfer on to Vientiane, the capital. We warned you earlier, didn’t you? There are just no cities in Laos. It even applies to the capital city. Your tour includes several spectacular temples, from the Buddha-filled Wat Sisaket, to the most venerated Wat Simuang, to the religious museum at Wat Phra Keo. And don’t forget the country’s national symbol Pha That Luang and Laos’ Arc de Triomphe.
