    marks the final day of Chinese New Year celebrations. It symbolises the first full moon of the lunar year and holds deep cultural significance. The festival features lantern displays, cultural performances and vibrant street parades with lion and dragon dances.

 

  • Bau Nyale Festival, Lombok (18-19 February 2025)
    A traditional Sasak cultural event celebrated on the island of Lombok. It is centered around the legend of Princess Mandalika, who, according to local lore, transformed into sea worms (Nyale) to bring peace to her kingdom. The festival involves locals and visitors gathering on the beaches to catch these colorful sea worms, believed to bring good luck, fertility, and prosperity.
