Founded in 2016, ASSET H&C is a community of vocational schools whose aim is to empower underprivileged youth.
EXO Travel has been supporting ASSET H&C since 2016, with the most recent donation of $15,000 in June 2023 to benefit the schools and their nearly 4000 students.
The Association of Southeast Asian Social Enterprises for Training in Hospitality and Catering (ASSET H&C), connects 13 vocational schools in 4 Southeast Asian countries. By networking together, the schools’ leadership teams are able to exchange ideas in order to increase their impact and promote a common vision.
‘Our good partners at ASSET have a variety of programs and studies available to provide education for disadvantaged youth and to allow them to grow into hospitality professionals’, Marcel van der Zwaag, EXO Cambodia GM explains. ‘These combined efforts improve the standard of the hospitality industry in Cambodia as a whole which in turn will only improve the experience of all visitors to this amazing destination.’
This powerful community of professionals is committed to empowering underprivileged youth to break the poverty cycle. EXO Foundation is proud to support ASSET H&C in their aim ‘to become a key regional player in sustainable tourism’.
Marcel concludes, ‘I am amazed by their efforts and commitment. Their goals perfectly align with our goals at EXO, to educate and empower people and with that, exponentially increase chances of escaping poverty and hopefully, change lives in a positive way.’
