- BBN Airlines Indonesia launch: BBN Airlines, founded in 2022 as an air freight company, launched its first commercial passenger route on 27 September, making it Indonesia’s newest airline. The airline now operates seven weekly flights between Cengkareng and Surabaya, as well as between Cengkareng and Denpasar.
- Banda Neira Festival: From 14-16 November 2024, the Banda Neira Festival will showcase the history and culture of the Banda islands. The festival will feature traditional games, including Kora-Kora boat racing, as well as other events showcasing the heritage and customs of the Banda residents.
