New Tour Thailand: Isaan Insight (9 Days / 8 Nights)

Giant in size and steeped in rich culture, Thailand’s northeastern portion is one of the country’s most underrated areas. Lacking the dramatic peaks of the north and the paradise beaches of the south, the region is often overlooked by tourists.

The lack of traffic has its benefits, however, and the region is manna from heaven for those who like to get off the beaten track. Kicking off in Bangkok, the epic journey ventures right into the very heart of Isaan. The first stage of the trip takes guests to the southern part of the region where Cambodian influence remains strong.

There are several fascinating Khmer temples in this part of the region. Further north along the Mekong River, Lao influences begin to permeate in the shape of temples, handicrafts and products.

There are also noticeable Vietnamese touches around Nakhon Phanom where Ho Chi Minh stayed for seven years when he was the leader of the resistance movement against the French.
