A Taste of Yangon (Evening)

Although it is underrated in comparison with neighbouring cuisines like Thai and Vietnamese, Burmese food offers many mouth-watering surprises for the amateur. On this evening culinary focussed expedition around the streets and alleys of Yangon – the biggest city in Myanmar – guests will have the chance to sample a full spectrum of delicious specialities from the so-called “Golden Land”. The focus of the journey is on the contemporary twists on local food being offered by talented chefs in some of the city’s trendier restaurants. In venues such as Pansuriya, Monsoon and Rangoon Teahouse, guests can try delicious treats including Burmese salads, savoury Burmese curries and local sweet treats like chai cheesecake and falooda, a smoothie like drink. Between courses, guests will be transported around by trishaw to visit historic buildings and to enjoy a drink while taking in the view of the city’s iconic pagodas.
