Hear the sounds of bells tinkling at the top of a crumbling pagoda, witness the deft skills of craftsmen, taste farm-to-table delicacies and feel the rhythm of the locals’ timeless lifestyle.

Cycling - Exploring Luang Prabang by Bike - 4 Days / 3 Nights
Welcome to Laos, the Land of a Million Elephants, and the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang. Upon arrival you will be met by your local guide and transfered to your hotel.
After check-in we enjoy a half day guide tour on bicycles to experience the rich cultural and historical heritage of this charming town with visits to French Indochinese buildings and ancient Buddhist temples.
Today’s itinerary includes a visit to Wat Sensoukarahm, Wat Mai, Wat Xieng Thong- the most revered temple in Luang Prabang and the former Royal Palace (now the National Museum) where you will explore the history of Laos. Finish with the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre, a museum dedicated to exploring the rich diversity of Laos’s ethnic minorities. The entrance includes and Cocktails and snacks at the Patio when you are done with the Center visit.
Returning to the hotel, take a rest and freshen up before being transferred by Tuk-Tuk to the most famous restaurant in town, Tamarind Restaurant, for an adventurous Lao Gourmet culinary discovery!
Overnight In Luang Prabang
The day starts with a pick up from the hotel at 08:30, followed by a guided transfer by minivan to the bike station. After collecting the bikes, begin the cycle towards the former Royal boat pier. Enjoy a ride along the Mekong on small village paths and rocky trails leading towards Vat Chom Phet and Vat Long Khoun.
Continue along dirt roads, pedaling through untouched and rarely visited countryside. During the cycle, a stop will be made at Ban Nakham for snacks and refreshments. Please note that some parts of the path are hilly and some tracks irregular.
The next visit will be to Khmu village and the secret Hoy Khoua waterfall, where there will be a picnic lunch waiting followed by a bit of time to cool down. Please note the for agricultural purposes and depending on the seasons, the waterfall can be dry at periods.
After taking time to relax and rest, cycle back towards the mighty Mekong. A minivan is always available if a further rest is needed. Before reaching the river, a short stop is made at the Hmong village of Ban Pak Luong. Afterwards, board a private boat for the cruise upstream to Ban Chan, a village known for its production of pottery.
Dinner this evening will be at Khai Phaen Restaurant, established by the Cambodian-based NGO, Friends International. Khai Phaen is a training and vocational school for street children and young people in the Luang Prabang region.
Overnight In Luang Prabang.
This morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel before taking off for the day’s guided journey. Hop on the bicycles and begin the journey for Ban Xang Khong, a village known for its textiles and Saa paper production. Continue the ride on quiet back roads, visiting an old brick manufacturing factory before breaking for snacks in a cool, shaded spot. Next stop is Ban Xang Hay, a village which specializes in the production of traditional rice wine.
The journey stretches on to Ban Pak Ou. Enjoy a brief village visit before having lunch in one of the best local restaurants of the area. Dine on delicious traditional cuisine with amazing views of the surrounding caves and rivers.
After paying a visit to the caves, hop back on board and cruise down river to Luang Prabang. For those keen on a bit more adventure, continue the cycle back to Luang Prabang. Taking a local boat cruise is one of the most rewarding ways to discover the life along the rivers and observe daily activities of fishermen and villagers.
Upon arrival back at the boat pier, cycle (or transfer) back to the hotel. After arriving, enjoy a farewell dinner at Tangor Restaurant for some Asian/French fusion cuisine.

Enjoy the day at leisure until transport (provided) to the airport for the departing flight.
