Optional Activity: Seochon Evening Tour with Pedicab (2h)
Embark on a two-hour pedicab journey through Seochon’s charming alleyways at sunset. Glide past hanok houses, historic landmarks, and hidden cultural gems, with insightful commentary from your rider. Experience the district’s timeless allure, from ancient palace gates to Tongin markets, for an unforgettable glimpse into Seoul’s rich heritage.

After breakfast at the hotel, meet with a guide to set off for a full day exploring Seoul by public transport.
Kick off your morning tour with a walk to Gwanghwamun Square, a popular public space often hosting outdoor performances and art exhibitions. Then, visit Gyeongbokgung (Gyeongbok) Palace, the main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Originally built in 1395, it was expanded in 1867 to become the largest, and arguably most beautiful of Seoul’s five palaces, with 330 buildings in total.
If time allows, witness the ceremonial changing of the guard, which takes place at 10:00 at Gwanghwamun Gate.
Following the palace visit, explore The National Folk Museum. The museum contains interesting exhibits about the history of Korean people and their culture.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Insadong.
This afternoon, continue your Seoul exploration with a visit to Jogyesa Temple, the heart of Korean Buddhism. Founded in the late 14th century, it has been a central figure in the religion's history, particularly during the Japanese occupation. This temple is more than just a religious site: it's a symbol of resilience and cultural heritage.
Next, stop by Changdeokgung Palace, another palace from the Joseon dynasty. In addition to being one of the best-preserved palaces, this UNESCO site is known for its Secret Garden, where man-made structures were built in harmony with the natural surroundings.
Then, take a stroll through Ikseondong Coffee Street, a trendy neighbourhood in Seoul known for its charming hanok (traditional Korean houses) transformed into stylish cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. It's a popular spot for experiencing a mix of old and new Seoul.
Return to your hotel to freshen up and head out for dinner on your own.

DMZ join-in tour duration: 7.5 hours (07:00-14:30)
Around 7:00, be picked up by a join-in bus tour and meet the DMZ specialist guide for transfer to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), an area rich in history and intrigue.
Upon arrival at the border barrier between South and North Korea, spend time exploring the various sites and exhibitions at the DMZ with the group and guide. Highlights include Freedom Bridge, 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, Imjingak Park, and the Dora Observatory.
Return to Seoul, where you will be dropped at City Hall. Your DMZ guide can provide instructions or directions for returning to your hotel.
There is time to relax or explore on your own before your evening tour.
Evening tour duration: 4 hours (17:00-21:00)
Meet your private guide at 17:00 in the lobby of your hotel and take the subway to Hongdae district, a vibrant university district.
Start with a visit to Mangwon Market, where your guide will select a variety of different Korean foods for you to sample. Then head to busy Hongdae Street to walk amidst the colourful graffiti-covered buildings and shops featuring the latest in Korean fashion.
Your guide will take you to various bars and snack stops, where you can savour Korean soju, craft beers and trendy cocktails. You can sample a variety of dishes such as Tteokbokki or Korean Fried-chicken.
Experience the vibrant music scene with live performances by talented street musicians. This is also a great place to shop for K-Beauty products like face masks and creams.
Return to your Seoul hotel by subway or continue to explore on your own.
