This afternoon, continue your Seoul exploration with a visit to Jogyesa Temple, the heart of Korean Buddhism. Founded in the late 14th century, it has been a central figure in the religion's history, particularly during the Japanese occupation. This temple is more than just a religious site: it's a symbol of resilience and cultural heritage. 

Next, stop by Changdeokgung Palace, another palace from the Joseon dynasty. In addition to being one of the best-preserved palaces, this UNESCO site is known for its Secret Garden, where man-made structures were built in harmony with the natural surroundings. 

Then, finish the day by taking a stroll through Ikseondong Coffee Street, a trendy neighbourhood in Seoul known for its charming hanok (traditional Korean houses) transformed into stylish cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. It's a popular spot for experiencing a mix of old and new Seoul. 

Transfer back to the hotel for some well-deserved rest.

Begin with a leisurely 15-minute walk to the breathtaking Buyongdae Cliff, where you'll be rewarded with mesmerising vistas of Hahoe Village, the Nakdonggang River, and the surrounding mountain landscapes. 

Continue your Andong journey with visits to some of the region's most significant landmarks.

Begin at Wolyeongjong Bridge, a picturesque pedestrian bridge spanning the Nakdong River. The bridge’s wooden-fenced design and central pavilion offer a perfect vantage point for admiring the surrounding scenery.

Next, visit Dosan Seowon Confucian Academy, a historic site established by the renowned Confucian scholar Yi Hwang in the 16th century. Nestled harmoniously in nature, this educational and cultural complex exemplifies traditional Korean architecture and the Confucian ideal of balance with the environment.

Follow-up by a visit to Bongjeongsa Temple, Korea’s largest and one of its oldest temples, located in a tranquil mountain setting. Explore its ancient structures, including Geungnakjeon, the country’s oldest wooden building, and reflect on the temple’s rich history, which includes a visit by Queen Elizabeth II in 1999.

End the day with a visit to the Rock-carved Standing Buddha in Icheon-dong, a striking 12.38-meter-tall statue carved into a natural rock face during the Goryeo Dynasty. Gyeongju, once the capital of the 8th-century Silla Kingdom, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Revered as an open-air museum, it is a veritable treasure trove of history, brimming with palaces, temples, and tombs.

Your tour of Gyeongju begins at the religious architectural complex of Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple. Built during the time of the Silla Kingdom, the site highlights the mastery of the architects and artists of that era. Admire the Buddhist carvings and statues of Seokguram and Bulguksa’s wooden buildings and stone terraces. 

This afternoon, visit Gyeongju National Museum. With its vast collections of artefacts, relics, and royal treasures, the museum offers a comprehensive insight into the art, culture, and history of the Silla dynasty.

Then continue to Daereungwon Tomb complex. Also known as Tumuli Park, the area has more than 20 tombs from the Silla period.

Take a closer look at the Cheonmachong Tomb, a typical upper class tomb of the Silla era, with a wooden coffin placed inside an underground chamber covered with a mound of boulders and earth. 

Take a walk to the Woljeong Bridge, an historical gateway connecting the royal palaces of Silla to the south. The final stop today is the Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond, an artificial pond that was part of the palace complex of the ancient Silla.

Busan, South Korea's second-largest city, is a coastal metropolis known for its stunning beaches, vibrant seafood markets, and scenic harbour views. 

On the way, stop at Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a rare seaside Buddhist temple perched dramatically on rocky cliffs overlooking the East Sea. Known for its stunning ocean views, the temple offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and spiritual tranquility.

Upon arrival in Busan, begin exploring the city in the scenic Haeundae district. Visit Busan X the Sky, the tallest observatory in Korea, located within the Landmark Tower. Rising 411 metres above sea level, the observation deck offers sweeping panoramic views of the coastline, Gwangan Bridge, and the surrounding skyline.

Continue with a walk along Haeundae Beach, a broad expanse of white sand popular among locals for its relaxed atmosphere and seaside charm.

Later, enjoy a leisurely stroll on Dongbaekseom Island, a peaceful coastal trail lined with pine and camellia trees. Once a true island, it is now connected to the mainland and features panoramic sea views, striking sculptures, and the well-known Mermaid Statue, rooted in local folklore.

This morning, continue your Busan adventure with a visit to the incredible Jagalchi Market, Korea’s largest seafood market. Your guide will introduce you to a selection of fresh fish sellers who can prepare fresh sashimi for you on the spot.

Make a short stop-by BIFF Busan International Film Festival street, a famous Busan’s landmark.

Then, move to Gamcheon Village, an area of Busan where refugees settled during the Korean War and cultivated the mountainous land to make a living. These days, the area has been reborn thanks to the Village Art Project. Walk around the winding streets, admiring the colourful houses, art installations, retail shops and galleries.

Take a cable car ride across the sea. During the 15-20 minute journey, enjoy spectacular views across the ocean, Songdo Beach, Yeongdodaegyo Bridge, Namhangdaegyo Bridge, Songdo Coastal Dullegil Road and rock cliffs.

Before the return journey, stop at Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge for more panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding islands.

Jeju Island, often referred to as the "Hawaii of Korea," is a stunning natural paradise shaped by volcanic forces. The island offers a compelling blend of adventure, tranquillity, and tradition, making it one of East Asia’s most cherished island destinations.

Upon arrival in Jeju, your local guide and private driver will be waiting to transfer you to the east side of Jeju Island, where you will enjoy a quick lunch at a nearby local restaurant.

After lunch, visit Seongsan Ilchulbong, also known as Sunrise Peak, a famous filming location for the Korean drama When Life Gives You Tangerines. 

Enjoy a leisurely ascent to the top of this volcanic crater, which takes around 40 minutes to climb up and rewards with breathtaking views of the coastline and Jeju’s dramatic volcanic terrain. After taking in the scenery, descend on foot, approximately 40 minutes, back to the base.

Continue your exploration at the Jeju Haenyeo Museum, learning about the history and culture of Jeju’s Haenyeo, women divers who collect seafood and marine resources using time-honored methods.

Next stop is the 4.3 Peace Memorial Hall which is a massive complex that honours the victims of the Jeju Uprising and its aftermath. The hall also serves as a place for visitors to learn about the human rights abuses and to reflect on the importance of peace and reconciliation. 

Continue to Samseonghyeol, a historical site that holds significance in Jeju’s mythology and is believed to be the birthplace of the island’s first settlers.

The first stop is Hallim Park, a sprawling botanical garden that showcases Jeju’s diverse flora. Stroll through themed gardens, including the Palm Tree Avenue, Bonsai Garden and Subtropical Garden. A visit to the lava caves, one of the park’s highlights, offer a glimpse into Jeju’s volcanic origins.

Around midday, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue to O’sulloc Tea Museum. Learn about the history of tea on Jeju Island, sample various teas, and visit the scenic tea fields. The museum’s green tea ice cream is a must-try treat!

Continue to Jusangjeolli Cliffs, known for their unique hexagonal basalt columns formed through volcanic activity. Through designated paths and platforms, you can enjoy the scenery and take photographs of this geological marvel.

Head to Yakcheonsa Temple, one of the largest Buddhist temples in Asia. This awe-inspiring structure stands 30 meters tall, housing Korea's largest Vairocana Buddha, along with 18,000 small Buddhas enshrined in its main prayer hall. The intricate murals narrate Buddhist stories, adding unique features to the temple's grandeur and spiritual significance, making it an unforgettable stop on your journey.

The final stop of the day is Jeongbang Falls, one of the few waterfalls in Asia to flow directly into the sea. Admire the falls and the spectacular surroundings, with dramatic cliffs, lush vegetation, and the sound of crashing waves from the nearby sea.
