Sunrise From Fuji’s Summit - 2 Days / 1 Night
Today you will be travelling from central Tokyo to the Mt. Fuji Five lakes area on a highway express bus, arriving at the so called 5th Station, where most climbers start their ascent.
Here you will meet your English speaking guide who will lead you towards the mountain’s summit.
You will start slowly to adjust your body to the heights. After about 3-4 hours of hiking, you will get to the 8th Station, where you will have dinner and rest for several hours in a mountain hut.
The facilities here are dorm style, basic but clean.
Overnight on Mt. Fuji
Around midnight, it is time to begin the final ascent under the cover of the stars. You will arrive at the summit just before sunrise, in time to enjoy one of the most astonishing views in Japan.
Slowly, the sky grows lighter as the sun pops up over the sea of clouds, illuminating the mountain and energizing the tired climbers waiting at the top.
After a quick breakfast, you will be walking around Mt Fuji’s crater before heading back down, enjoying amazing views of the surrounding area.
You will arrive back at the 5th Station, where you will take the bus back to Tokyo.
