Arrive at Umbu Mehang Kunda Airport in Waingapu late morning, the largest town and capital of East Sumba Regency, known as a gateway to the island's unique cultural and natural attractions.
Meet and greet your local representative, prior to checking into your hotel, let’s take you for a halfday Waingapu City Tour. Visit the Ikat Tenun Village to observe the intricate art of traditional Sumbanese weaving, then continue to Prailiu King Village, where traditional houses, ancient megalithic tombs, and enduring customs offer a glimpse into the island's rich cultural heritage.

In the morning, we'll begin our full day exploring for picturesque landscapes of lush hills and cascading waterfalls and one of the ancient villages.
First off, visit Piarakuku Hills, a scenic viewpoint in Sumba that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape of rolling hills, lush valleys, and the island's natural beauty stretching into the distance.
Proceed to an extraordinary Waimarang Waterfall, a hidden jungle oasis featuring multi-tiered cascades that flow into stunning, crystal-clear turquoise pools offers a secluded and refreshing swimming experience.
Then enjoy a locally prepared lunch in Waimarang before visiting Pau Village, renowned for its exquisite Lau Pahikung handwoven textiles. Continue to Rende Village, a traditional Sumbanese village known for its impressive megalithic tombs and rich cultural heritage.
Return back to the resort late in the afternoon, rest of the day at leisure.

Continuing to Tenggedu Waterfalls, known as the "Grand Canyon of East Sumba," this stunning waterfall is famous for its crystal-clear turquoise pools and dramatic layered limestone cliffs. A scenic 35-minute trek (20 minutes on flat trails and 15 minutes on stairs) leads to the falls, passing sweeping savanna landscapes, traditional villages, and ancient royal tombs.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel, where the rest of the day is yours to relax at leisure.

Enjoy a leisurely walk through Praijing Village, a traditional Sumbanese settlement nestled on a hillside and surrounded by lush greenery. Famous for its traditional house architecture called the uma bakulu, which means big house, explore its distinctive traditional houses, enjoy panoramic views of the village, and experience the warm hospitality of the local community. Take your time exploring the area; most of the homes are occupied by elders, while cheerful children are always nearby.
After the visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to your hotel for check-in and a relaxing afternoon at leisure.

Today’s trip, we will take you to learn the authenticity of Sumba culture.
Begin with a visit to Waikelo Sawah, a unique water source and irrigation dam featuring a large natural cave that discharges clear blue water amidst vibrant green rice fields. Continue to Waikacura nearby, a little oasis found in the middle of the rice fields of Sumba. Enjoy a leisure trek through the rice fields, where you'll have the opportunity to observe local farmers at work. At the end of the trek, you'll be rewarded with the sight of a breathtaking river nestled amidst the rice fields.
Savor a lunch at a local restaurant, before proceeding to Waigili Village.
Waigali Village offers breathtaking views of lush greenery and rolling hills, along with remarkable ancient tombs, including a uniquely designed tomb featuring intricate carvings unlike any other in Sumba. During the visit, we will have the opportunity to meet the Rato (traditional leader) at one of the traditional houses, where they will be warmly welcomed and invited to hear fascinating stories about local traditions and rituals.
After exploring the village, back to the resort to relax and unwind.

Today, we will explore West Sumba highlights. Our first stop will be at a local market, where you can interact with the community and discover a variety of handmade products. With the help of our guide, feel free to engage with the locals and experience the authentic atmosphere of daily life.
Continue to a secluded hidden cove, where soft white sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and two striking limestone cliffs create a breathtaking natural gateway to the Indian Ocean. Enjoy a relaxing stroll along the powdery shoreline, take in panoramic views from the cliffs, unwind by the beach, and a simple picnic lunch box will be provided for your convenience.
Next to the beach, is Weekuri Lake, a stunning crystal-clear lagoon, is the perfect spot for swimming and relaxation. Take a refreshing dip, whether brief or leisurely, and explore the surrounding rocks and reefs, where you can catch a glimpse of the ocean on one side.
Our last visit will be to Ratenggaro Village, renowned for its distinctive high-roofed traditional houses, among the tallest in Sumba. Handcrafted in the traditional style, each house can accommodate up to 50 family members. One of the island’s remaining traditional communities, the village offers a glimpse into Sumbanese heritage, with its unique charm enhanced by its stunning beachfront setting.
Following our visit to the village, we’ll return to the hotel to relax and enjoy a well-deserved rest.
