Arrive in Sorong and continue by boat to the Kri Island (2 hours +/- by speedboat)

Upon arrival, check into the resort and prepare for seven days of pure bliss while relaxing on one of the world’s most intensely beautiful tropical islands.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kri Island.

Inclusions:

Spend the day lounging at the resort and enjoying the full board and exploration excursion package that is included.

As desired, go snorkel, kayak or explore the island on foot. Seeing some of the island’s surrounding marine life doesn’t require full-on diving. Even with just a mask and snorkel, one can see stunning coral reefs, spotted stingrays and vibrantly coloured reef fish. It’s also possible to hop on a dive boat to snorkel at some of the other places nearby with a specially-guided snorkelling package available. 

On Saturdays (or other days, upon request) there are also opportunities to embark on small bird-watching trips. If the weather permits, do a hike (30 minutes) to see the red bird of paradise which is endemic to the Raja Ampat. Although the trip itself is free,  each participant is required to pay a Rp. 200,000 (about 22 – 23 US$ or Euro 17) donation to protect the birds and assist in a child health care initiative.

A jungle trek will reveal lush pristine jungle rainforest. Bird lovers will love the incredible early morning sounds, and find some spots see some cockatoos, parrots, lorikeets, kingfishers, kookaburras to name a few. Upon special request we can also organise a half-day bird watching trip to the island of Waigeo to see the iconic Wilson’s bird of paradise.

At low tide it’s possible to walk along the long beach of Kri Island or just relax and enjoy true serenity.  Alternatively, take the kayak to some remote sandbanks and beaches surrounding the island…

Explore the lush jungles of the island’s interior, snorkel through prismatic waters while observing one of the world’s most rich marine environments or simply relax while sipping fresh coconut juice under a palm tree.
