Arrive at Cairo International Airport and meet the tour coordinator holding a sign with the designated names, positioned outside the Arrivals Hall (note: guides and drivers are not permitted inside the airport). A private, air-conditioned vehicle transfer to the hotel in Cairo follows.

Transfer to the iconic Giza Plateau, home to Egypt’s most recognisable monuments and the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. Explore the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure as well as the colossal limestone Great Sphinx, guardian of the plateau and an iconic symbol of ancient Egypt.

A simple, authentic lunch is provided at a restaurant near the Giza area. 

In the afternoon, proceed to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). While entering the Grand Hall, see the monumental statue of Ramses II before exploring the vast collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts. A key highlight is the Tutankhamun Galleries, showcasing the more than 5,000 treasures from the boy king's tomb.

After breakfast, step back into the heart of Old Cairo with a guided walk through Khan El-Khalili’s historic streets. Begin at Bab El-Fotouh, a fortified northern gate of Cairo’s old city, before following the main thoroughfare towards Bab Zuweila. Along the way, pass mosques, monuments and markets that together form one of the most densely listed heritage streets in the world.

Continue through Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, where narrow alleys are filled with spice sellers, fabric stalls and everyday household goods. The lively atmosphere offers insight into the rhythms of local commerce that have defined the district for centuries.

The route concludes along El-Khayameyya Street, home to appliqué workshops where artisans maintain techniques once used to decorate tents for festivals and ceremonies. Today, the craft endures as a hallmark of Cairo’s cultural identity.

Leisure time until hotel check-out, followed by a transfer to the airport.
